A good message on “Margin”

I have a confession, I was a workaholic. A man that had a problem with saying, “no” A “task master” A man driven beyond my own & most peoples abilities. However, through the years I learned of the unhealthiness of it all. Granted I accomplished a lot of my goals & achieved much “success”, however I have also failed, & lost a lot. I remember in the span of 1 y, I got a promotion, made the most money in my life, led a large Men’s Ministry, I got engaged, I built a house, I was elected in a political related position, & had a child on the way a few months later. Conversely, at another time in my life in the span of 1 yr, My business failed, I went through a divorce, home/assets/children were taken/lost thru divorce & economy, good name slandered, health declined & was nearly homeless.

In my opinion there is nothing wrong with working hard, and we should. There is most certainly nothing wrong with achieving your goals, and making great strides & accomplishments; However, it should not be at the cost of your loving relationships, your mental & physical health, nor your time with the Creator.

We ALL need Margin. We all can benefit from proper balance. And “no is not a bad word”, as my mom would say, “it’s a self preservation word.” Take a gander at this message. It is wise, thought provoking & profound.

Make it a great day & be blessed.
