“Debate”, “Argue-bate”, “Retaliate”

There is “debate”, “argue-bate”, & “retaliate”.

If time is permissible, I am game for a good, intelligent, educational and civilized debate. I LOVED IT in High School and College. Unfortunately, that is nearly never the case on Social Media with a certain segment of keyboard warriors. It quickly turns into “argue-bate”, or “retaliate” if someone doesn’t agree, like the facts, their opinion is different, or they seem to get easily offended.

Why is it that if someone has a different opinion, that they are wrong?  Why can’t all adults have the maturity and wisdom to agree to disagree with grace and humility?

Furthermore, just because I don’t agree with you, or we have differing faiths, upbringing, lifestyle, status, political stands, doesn’t mean that I hate you. I can disagree with you, with grace and humility, and still love you like Jesus does.
