It seems some, or many, in which I have witnessed are under this veil. They do not see clearly. It is as if they are seeing things through a filter. A filter contrary to truth & reality. You can tell these people the truth, you can show them the truth, you can even provide photos, videos, eye witness testimonials, yet they still do not either want to accept it, nor believe it. It is as if they have consumed lies for so long, it is the only reality or truth that they know, or want to believe. It is as if they are in this metaphoric slumber, unable to wake from a dream in which they have been led to believe.

In the bible it talks of such “clouded glass” and “veils” as well.

“We don’t yet see things clearly. We’re squinting in a fog, peering through a mist. But it won’t be long before the weather clears and the sun shines bright! We’ll see it all then, see it all as clearly as God sees us, knowing him directly just as he knows us!” – 1 Corinthians 13:12 MSG

“But when one turns to the Lord, the veil is removed.” – 2 Corinthians 3:16 ESV

“But when one turns to the Lord, the veil is removed. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.” – 2 Corinthians 3:16-18 ESV

“They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart.” – Ephesians 4:18 ESV
