This article is a 10 part series on The top 10 Characteristics and Qualities of an Effective Christian Motorcycle Club. Today we start with part one with number one:

1. Biblically Sound and Christ Centered

If you are going to Prospect for or become a Full Patched Brother in a Christian Motorcycle Club, it must be Biblically Sound and Christ Centered. The priorities should be God first, then Family, Work, then Club. This is not to say that these lines may not blur at times as the men in your MC become like family, sometimes even more than family. A MC also takes work, however anything worth while takes work, and anything worthwhile is worth working for.

Biblically Sound in my opinion and perspective doesn’t mean denominational stressed. Meaning, that a good Christian MC should be non-denominational. From the leadership down to the Hangaround, a Christian MC should exude biblical principles in not just words, but actions and deeds. The bible should be and needs to be the final authority. It is the Word of God.

“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.” – 2 Timothy 3:16-17

As believers we are to be Christ centered. To be Christ centered we are to realize Christ is the head, the example on how we are to lead, serve and live.

“And he put all things under his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all.” – Ephesians 1:22-23

“I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” – Galatians 2:20

In addition, I believe any good Christian MC should have a Mission Bible Verse, similar to what some believers call a “Live Verse”. A favorite bible verse that exemplifies the MC’s mission and purpose.

God has created us as believers to play a unique role in our lives for the Kingdom. We each have a destiny that will bring glory to God, share the grace and love of Christ, and extend the Kingdom of God. Understanding your unique destiny starts with reading the bible, understanding what it says about your purpose as one of God’s people. So it should be with a Christian MC.
